It was a beautiful evening, and lots of people must have agreed with me on that, because the beach area at Buffalo Spring Lake was quite full. But challenges and all, the pictures turned out so beautifully. I can’t wait to share this Buffalo Springs Lake family session with you!
Jessica has wanted to do a session at a lake for quite a while, and I’ve been wanting to branch out and do some different types of sessions. So this was the perfect opportunity for both of us! I was so excited for this session!
Jessica did such a great job choosing outfits for the family. Her dress was a gorgeous blue, little Audrey had a striped dress that looks perfect for a day at the beach, and Zaeden and Pancho both had more neutral outfits. It was the perfect look for this session.
We started off the session with a couple of poses with everyone looking at the camera. I love a great documentary style photo, but it always a must for me to get some of those photos where everyone is looking! We got several different combinations, with Mom and the children, Dad and children, just the children, etc.
Then we got to the fun part. We moved into the water for some of the pictures. Zaeden is a little fish, and was more than happy to run around in the water, but Audrey wasn’t thrilled with being in the water. She preferred to stay in the arms.
Some of my favorite images happened at the end of the session. I loved the ones where Zaeden and Daddy were splashing water at each other. Audrey playing in the sand was another favorite.
I had so much fun working with this family. I loved how they were willing to get into the water and trust the process! The results were amazing!
