Palo Duro Family Session

Stunning red rock formations and a beautiful family. What more could you ask for? I’m so excited to share this Palo Duro family session with you!

I love traveling. I also love taking pictures at new locations. This session checked off all of the boxes! It’s quite the drive out to Palo Duro Canyon. But it was well worth it! I drove out earlier in the day to do some location scouting to figure out where we were going to do the pictures. It was quite warm, so armed with plenty of water, I hiked down a short way down several of the trails. It didn’t take me long to find the area I wanted. Such beautiful red rocks!

When the Peters family arrived, we hiked about ten minutes down the trail to the location I had picked out. Helen did such an amazing job with choosing outfits! The neutrals that she chose went so well with the location. With such a stunning location, we did a bit of a longer session to make sure we got several different areas of the park, though we stayed on the same trailhead. The pictures turned out exactly the way I had imagined they would!

I had so much fun working with the Peters family. I may have continually forgotten everyone’s names. (Helen told me I could just call the boys Number One, Number Two, etc. but I tried to remember their names!:) There was a lot of joking around, and it made the session go by so quickly!

Anyone else dreaming of pictures like this, because I would be ready to do it again in a heartbeat!
