Did we get up at 2:30 in the morning and drive 3 hours and 35 minutes while most people are in their cozy beds, so that we could get an epic sunrise photo shoot? Yes, we absolutely did! And the results of this Salt Basin Dunes couple session did not disappoint!
When Naomi and Matthew and I met at the coffee shop to plan this session, I was so excited! The Salt Basin Dunes was a dream location to shoot at, and I was already envisioning the beautiful images we were going to get. Someone asked me if I was sure it was going to be worth it, and it most certainly was!
We got to the location as the first bit of sunshine was beginning to light up the sky. When we began our hike in, it was a little chilly, but nice and calm. At first, the mountains blocked the view of the sun. We had to hike an hour in, and as we reached the beautiful white sands, the sun peaked over the mountain range. And it was breath-taking!
Matthew and Naomi made this shoot super easy! They were such naturals, and we had some great conversations in between shots. I loved watching the two of them interact with each other! And their outfit choices were on point! Naomi’s flowy navy dress made for the perfect twirling shots. Paired with the location made for some epic shots!
Naomi and Matthew, thank you for trusting me enough to get up in the middle of the night and drive hours and hours before most people were even awake, and hiking in to our location to get these beautiful pictures! It was so great working with the two of you!
