Newborn sessions come with their share of mishaps. But capturing this special season of life is so important and special! That’s why I can’t wait to share this beautiful studio newborn session with you!
Were there some tears? Yes. Were the older brothers done with pictures after only taking one? Yes. Did we still get some amazing pictures? Absolutely!
The session started a little later than we had wanted, because life sometimes happens. We started off with some family pictures, after which one of the older brothers promptly said, “Done.” He wanted to explore the studio, not sit still and take pictures. It definitely took some coaxing to get them to sit still. But both of the older brothers love their baby brother, and we got some adorable pictures of them all together.
Newborn sessions always consist of a mixture of the whole family together, Mommy with baby, Daddy with baby, siblings with baby, and of course, just the newborn. Working with newborns and other littles can be a bit unpredictable, but I’ve learned to just roll with it. If the baby needs a diaper change or a feeding, we pause the session. The session can be adjusted as needed to fit the baby’s needs. That’s one reason why newborn sessions often take a bit longer than the normal family session.
It was so special to capture Israel Heinrich’s newborn pictures! I have had the privilege of taking both of his older brothers’ newborn pictures as well, and they were all the absolute cutest! (I may be just a little biased because they are my nephews, but they certainly are adorable!)
Lucas and Helen, it was so great to work with your family again! I pray that God will bless you in this special season as you raise your little ones!
