Couple sessions are so special! Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, just got engaged, or you simply want pictures with your significant other, couple sessions are a great way to document your love for one another! But what does a couple session experience with me look like?
Before You Book
When hiring a photographer, it’s super important to make sure that you find a photographer that you and your significant other would work well with. I know I’m not the photographer for everyone, and that’s okay.
I definitely recommend checking out Instagram, Facebook, or the website before deciding to book. That will give you a good idea if you like the style of photography. It also helps you see if you feel like we would be a good fit for working together.

When You Book
When you first book, you will have a questionnaire that will help me tailor the session to your and your significant other. This give you an opportunity to share any concerns, or ask any questions you may have.
After your contract is signed and questionnaire filled out, you will receive an email. This email includes my style guide with some of my best tips for nailing your session. Outfit and location choice are included in the email.
At this point, if you haven’t chosen your location, it’s a good time to reach out to me, and we can discuss what type of look you are going for. If you already have a location picked out, great! If not, I am always happy to help you find a location that you love!
Once we have location picked out, then you can relax until the day of your session! You will get a couple of reminder emails from me, because I know life can be busy. Sometimes we forget important things, and I would hate for you to forget about your session, because I am already super excited for it!
The Couple Session Experience
Now it’s time for the session! We will meet at the location you choose. (Check out this blog post for ideas for planning your location.) You don’t need to worry about posing or anything like that. I’ve got you covered! We will get some great pictures of you smiling and looking at the camera. We’ll also alternate that with candid shots. You may feel a little bit uncomfortable at first. But we’ll work through that, and you’ll soon loosen up. We will probably do at least one (or two or three) walking shots, because those are some of my favorites! Whatever we end up doing on your session, we’ll get a lot of pictures that capture your love for one another!
After the Session
After your session, I am always so excited to get your pictures onto my computer so I can start to edit them! You will have a sneak peek within a couple of days. Then I start to work on your blog post. I select some of my favorite images and put them together with a short summary of what your session was like. This gives you a chance to see the session from my perspective, and I promise it’s all good things!
Then two weeks form your session, you will have your full gallery of beautiful pictures! I send an online gallery that makes it super easy to download, order, and print your pictures!
I highly recommend that you change your profile picture, phone lock screen, etc. And then don’t forget to order your pictures!
